The SA187 is an FAA/TSO-approved flush-mounted fuel drain valve used in aircraft fuel systems for safe and controlled fuel sampling. It is designed to sit flush with the aircraft surface, preventing snagging while allowing pilots and maintenance personnel to drain small fuel samples for contamination and water checks.

This valve is part of SAF-AIR’s F391 replacement series and is commonly used in general aviation aircraft fuel sumps and gascolators. It is engineered for durability, rebuildability, and clean operation in routine pre-flight inspections.

Key features include:

Flush-mounted aircraft fuel drain valve
1/8"-27 NPT threaded connection
FAA / TSO-C76 approved design
Push-to-open fuel sampling operation
Rebuildable design (unlike some sealed OEM valves)
Cadmium-plated steel body construction
Fuel-resistant sealing O-ring
Used for pre-flight fuel contamination checks (water/sediment sampling)
Compatible with many light aircraft fuel systems (Cessna, Piper, etc.)
Designed for safe, mess-free fuel draining during inspection
Pressure-rated for typical aircraft fuel system conditions (≈60 psi class)
