The MS20470E6-12 is a universal head solid aluminum aircraft rivet used in structural sheet metal assembly across general aviation, military, and aerospace applications. It belongs to the MS20470 “universal head” family and corresponds to a 3/16" (6/32) diameter rivet with a 3/4" length (-12 dash number).
This rivet is made from high-strength aluminum alloy (commonly 7050-T73 or equivalent depending on vendor spec) and is heat-treated for improved shear strength and fatigue resistance. It is designed for use in applications where access to both sides of the structure is available, allowing it to be bucked (driven and formed) during installation.
The MS20470 series is one of the most widely used solid rivet standards in aircraft construction, used in fuselage skins, wing structures, ribs, brackets, and general airframe assembly.
Key features include:
MS20470 universal head solid aircraft rivet
