Dowsil PR 2260 Prime Coat is a single component material used to increase the adhesion of heat and room temperature curing silicones to a wide variety of substrates including ceramics, plastics, and many metals. The specific gravity of the uncured material is 0.75 and it has a shelf life of 24 months when stored at room temperature. This prime coat is composed of dilute solutions of silane coupling agents and other active ingredients. The coat needs to be applied in a light, even coat by dipping, wiping or spraying methods.
