Shell has put all of its 100 years of experience in aircraft lubricants and aircraft engines into AeroShell Oil Sport Plus 4. The lubricant research specialists in the Shell laboratories in Europe and the USA, in close cooperation with major aircraft engine manufacturers, have developed the world's first engine oil specifically for light sport aircraft and light/ultralight aircraft with 4-stroke engines.

Additive technology - perfectly meets the requirements of integrated gearboxes and overload clutches (ROTAX series 912 and 914).
High thermal stability for longer and safer lubrication.
High evaporation stability for lower oil consumption.
Better cold flow properties for easier cold starts and better engine protection.
A powerful antioxidant protects components and keeps them cleaner for longer.
Selected dispersant additives prevent the formation of oil sludge and deposits. Special high-quality base oils prevent the formation of oil sludge when operating with leaded fuels.
Antifoam additives maximize the lubricating effect.
Excellent elastomer compatibility to protect hoses and seals.
Special additives act as an acid regulator.
Can be used with unleaded fuel and avgas 100LL.

Specifications, Approvals and Recommendations
Approved to ROTAX specification RON 424
Listed in Rotax Service Instruction SI-912i-01/SI-0912-016/SI-914-019 "Selection of Suitable Operating Fluids for Rotax Engine Type 912 and 914 (Series)" as an Aviation oil tested and released by BRP-Powertrain , for use with both leaded avgas and unleaded fuel.
Do not use AeroShell Oil Sport Plus 4 in engines designed to use aviation piston engine oils approved to SAE J-1899 or SAE J-1966 specifications. These include air-cooled Continental Motors and Textron Lycoming engines.

Note : Do not use AeroShell Oil Sport Plus 4 on engines intended to use ashless dispersant aircraft piston engine oils such as AeroShell W oils. This applies to Teledyne Continental air-cooled engines as well as Textron Lycoming and Jabiru engines.
