ROYCO 1MS is non-abrasive, highly shear stable and has a relatively low volatility compared to other thread compounds. It is particularly suitable for use on aircraft engine spark plugs, threaded fasteners and fittings at temperatures below 427°C (800°F). At higher temperatures, ROYCO 44 should be used in lieu of ROYCO 1MS. Since this material is an electrical conductor, it is especially suited for anti-seize applications where the thread compound will not impede electrical flow.`
