The RIKO RFS-12 is a side-mounted, reed-switch type float level switch designed for detecting liquid level (ON/OFF control) in tanks and reservoirs. It is part of RIKO’s all-stainless-steel RFS series and uses a magnet-equipped float that activates an internal reed switch as the liquid level rises or falls.

The unit is installed from the outside of the tank wall (side mounting, threaded connection), making it suitable for tanks where top access is limited or where side-level detection is preferred. It is commonly used for water, oil, and chemical liquids.

Internally, the float moves with the liquid level, and when it reaches the switching point, the embedded magnet triggers the reed switch inside the stem, providing a clean, contact-based electrical signal for level control systems.

The RFS-12 is valued for its simple structure, high reliability, and long service life, with minimal maintenance and stable switching performance.

Operating range typically covers moderate industrial conditions, with good resistance to temperature and pressure for general process applications.
