The ROTAX 825012 is an OEM spin-on full-flow oil filter used on Rotax 912, 914, and related 9-series aircraft engines. It is part of the engine lubrication system and is responsible for filtering circulating engine oil to remove metallic particles, carbon deposits, and other contaminants generated during normal engine operation.

This filter is mounted externally on the engine lubrication circuit and is designed to maintain consistent oil flow while protecting internal engine components such as the crankshaft, gearbox, and cylinder assemblies. It includes an internal bypass valve to ensure lubrication is maintained even if the filter becomes restricted.

The 825012 is an earlier-generation filter, later replaced in Rotax production by the updated 825016 version, which features a revised 14-flute head design and updated service specification. However, 825012 is still found in legacy installations and earlier production engines.
