The S1021Z10-8 is an aircraft-grade #10 self-tapping pan head screw used in general aviation airframe and interior installations, particularly in Cessna aircraft structures. It is designed for fastening thin sheet metal, interior panels, fairings, and lightweight brackets where a slightly stronger fastener than #6 or #8 sizes is required.
This screw uses a Phillips drive pan head and a Type A / Type B self-tapping thread form, allowing it to cut or form its own thread in pre-drilled holes in aluminum or thin steel sheet without requiring a nut.
Key features include:
#10 diameter aircraft sheet metal screw
Length: 1/2 inch (0.500")
Pan head design (rounded head with wide bearing surface)
Phillips drive
Self-tapping thread (Type A/B depending on revision)
Steel construction with corrosion-resistant plating (commonly cadmium or zinc)
Used in Cessna airframes (100/200 series and similar GA aircraft)
Suitable for interior panels, access covers, and non-structural mounts
Designed for vibration resistance in light aircraft environments
