The T6X8 (6-1/2-A-TR-PH-SS) is a #6 stainless steel truss-head self-tapping sheet metal screw used in aircraft interior and light-duty airframe applications. It is designed for fastening thin aluminum sheets, interior panels, access covers, and non-structural components where a small, corrosion-resistant fastener with a wide bearing surface is required.

The truss head provides a larger load distribution area than standard pan heads, reducing the risk of pull-through in thin materials. The Type A self-tapping thread allows the screw to form its own thread in pre-drilled holes or soft metals.

Key features include:

#6 diameter sheet metal screw
Length: 1/2 inch (T6X8 specification)
Truss head design (wide low-profile head)
Phillips drive
Type A self-tapping thread
Stainless steel construction (corrosion resistant)
Used in aircraft interior and light airframe installations
Suitable for thin sheet metal and panel fastening
Vibration-resistant in low to moderate load environments
Common in general aviation maintenance and assembly work
