The Sigma-Tek 5000B-36 is a vacuum-driven aircraft attitude indicator (artificial horizon) used in general aviation piston aircraft. It provides a visual reference of aircraft pitch and bank by means of a moving horizon display, while a fixed aircraft symbol remains centered in the instrument.

This model is part of the 5000B series and is designed for 3-1/8 inch standard instrument panel mounting. The “-36” variant is a non-lighted configuration without a built-in warning flag, intended for installations where panel lighting is provided externally or not required.

It operates using aircraft vacuum (pneumatic) suction, which spins an internal gyroscope to maintain attitude reference independent of electrical power.

Key features include:

Vacuum-driven attitude indicator (air-operated gyro system)
3-1/8 inch standard panel instrument size
Blue/brown horizon display for intuitive pitch and bank reading
FAA/TSO-certified aviation instrument
No internal lighting (No Light configuration)
No vacuum failure warning flag (variant dependent)
Compatible with standard GA vacuum systems (approx. 4.5–5.2 inHg)
Designed for continuous attitude reference in VFR/IFR operations
Common replacement instrument in certified piston aircraft
