The T557-1 is an aviation-grade 3/8" drive deep spark plug socket with integrated magnet, designed for safe removal and installation of aircraft spark plugs without dropping or damaging the plug in confined cylinder head spaces.
It is commonly used on piston aircraft engines (Lycoming, Continental) and is part of standard aircraft maintenance tool kits.
The internal magnet is used to retain the spark plug securely inside the socket, especially during insertion/removal in deep or angled cylinder wells where manual access is limited.
